Has anyone used a Britax Visio???

I think its a new product so i'm finding it hard to find any reviews!
I'm going pram shopping this weekend, and had been thinking to get a maclaren xlr but I'm bothered about baby not being able to face me in it . the britax visio seems to tick a lot of boxes, including a lie flat facing parent mode, but just wondering if anyones got any experience of using them?
Its really hard choosing a pushchair isn't it?! I wish i could rent one first to make sure i was making the right choice!
Also, have a babasling which i'm hoping to use as much as possible for the first few months so not sure how essential the forward/rear facing option will be.
any advice would be great. cheers

no personal experience but kiddicare have got them for a bargain price of £99.99 including raincover and infant liner here

Doesn't look signifiacntly better than the M&P pramette or the Silver Cross Dazzle

am guessing you are a town-dweller who does a lot of driving?

I have just bought the cut-price one from Kiddicare and am very impressed with it. It's nice and sturdy and seems easy to use. I purposely bought one because I wanted the rear-facing mode for the first few months - we used a Maclaren Techno first time round which was fab, but it used to bug me that I couldn't see DD at all! We'll probably end up using the Maclaren again after a few months because it's so much lighter, but this one should be great for the early days, especially as it will be in the depths of winter. Baby is due in about 10 days, so I will have to get back to you in a few weeks about how I get on with it while out and about!

It's definitely not better than the M&P or Silver Cross, but it's much much cheaper!!

babber · 21/11/2008 13:41

Thanks for the input everyone. It seems that evryone who buys a pushchair other than a maclaren techno ends up buying one anyway which is why i was thinking to get one as don't think we can afford the luxury of buying two! however, £99.99 is dead cheap so you never know...
Mrs badger - i am a town dweller, but i don't drive! DP does and we do have access to a car when we need one but boot space wouldn't be no. 1 priority in our case, getting on and off buses will probably be much more important. we live is a small flat so need something easy to fold away and not too bulky, but at the same time i obviously don't want something that feels really flimsy.
Guess i'll just have to try and test a few out this weekend. I'm in London so was thinkning to just go to John Lewis as i've been told they have a good range there.anyone find that they used a sling rather than a pushchair a lot in the first few months anyway?
thanks everyone, its a helpful lot on here isn't it?

I guessed it was to save space somewhere!

I used a simple pouch sling (from Freedom Slings) quite a lot when dd was small, esp for quick jaunts, but the pram was better if I needed to carry anything bigger than a changing bag - a sling, chnage bag and shopping takes a toll on a post-birth body ...

Hello, wondering if Babber ended up getting the Britax and what she thought? Am starting to think about prams/pushchairs and have narrowed it down to Maclaren Techno XLR or Four Seasons or the Britax Visio. Any thoughts? Sorry if this is the 100th thread on prams! Also, any thoughts on the best place to actually see and test all of this baby gear? I live in central London, and it sounds like John Lewis on Oxford St is the best? All help greatly appreciated!!!
