Double pram help!!

I’m looking into double prams, I’m due in May and my DS turns 2 in February so he’s not at the age where he can walk everywhere.

I’m looking at the Bugaboo Donkey but spending £1,500 isn’t really ideal but this seems to be the price range (ish) of the decent ones? I also like that I can make it a single for when DS is in nursery.

Has anyone got any recommendations on what they’ve used or friends have? I’d also like to be able to have the toddler seat to face outwards. Also ones where they’re next to eachother rather than on top, the bottom one always looks really squished to me!

I would get an off-road one like Mountain Buggy Duet (my preference as overall slightly narrower to push through doors) or Out and About Nipper Double. They're cheaper than the Donkey and might get more use out of it as they're handy for things like country walks, fairs, beach trips etc. when toddler is big enough to walk but might get tired on longer days out. Should be easy enough to sell on when you're done with it too. I bought one second hand with a similar age gap and gave it to my brother when done but could easily have sold it for what I paid.

Whichever you go for, I would try and buy one second hand. We did and then managed to sell it for almost the same price.

Thanks both. I’ve had a look on Facebook marketplace and there’s loads available so I will more than likely get a second hand because like I said, 1,500 for a pram is a joke to me. I spent £600 on my first travel system and thought that was a bump!
