Seat risers/pushchair height adjusters - are they worth it?

Me and my SO are in the process of shopping for a pram for our newborn, can anybody enlighten me as to why an adjustable height seat is beneficial? The prams that have them seem to be popular (e.g. Silver Cross Cove) but I cant tell if they really would make any difference... they only go up and down by a very tiny amount??

Any insight from someone who has used a pram with seat risers would be greatly appreciated and help us narrow our options down!

It was the biggest waste of money buying a pram that converts into a buggy.. get a pram for your newborn to last the first few months then buy one of those one handed fold baby joggers that have amazing recline and sun shade for the next few years rather than faffing around with clipping parts together every time you want to leave the house. Wish someone had said this to me!
