Newborn travel stroller abroad

Hi,
so we are travelling to America next year and will have an 8 week old baby! I’ve never taken a baby away abroad before so am worrying about the best pushchair.
we have an Icandy for home but reluctant to take this with us in case anything happened to it. Also we’d have the newborn carry cot section and this is quite bulky to carry around when the chassis is collapsed.
I’ve looked into the bugaboo dragonfly and the stoke yoyo as good options for newborn pushchairs that fold easily but they are just so pricey even second hand and I can’t justify the prices!
Does anyone have any other suggestions? Or should we just take the icandy and deal with the slight extra bulk?

Have a look at the Joie ones! They go fully flat so are suitable from newborn but you can buy a carry cot for them if you wanted one. We took our daughter away with one this year and it was perfect, it folded down and went with us on the plane into the overhead so we were never without it x

Thank you. Do you remember what yours was called? There are so many options!

Just take the one you have and are used to. If something happens to it you can buy a new one with the compensation money rather than buying one just in case at your own expense.

I would just take the icandy. Use sling at airport. Can then use the carrycot for overnight sleeping whilst there so saves taking a travel cot also
