Recommended buggy boards that work with YoYo buggy?

I have a 2 year old and a 3 year old and want to get rid of our double buggy and use only our single buggy with a buggy board/attachment.

We have the YoYo buggy and most reviews on the official YoYo buggy board attachment are negative: it's very expensive and quite long, so the parent has to stand alongside, which isn't ideal on the long nursery run.

I'd like to get a non-YoYo option that's a little more compact (and cheaper). Has anyone used one of the non-branded 'universal' buggy boards and liked it? And is the 'parent needs to stand alongside' issue all buggy board attachments, not just the YoYo?

(Apologies for shamelessly posting this here -- the pushchair board looks pretty quiet.)

It’s because the YoYo handlebar doesn’t move so the toddler has to stand in front of it and you need to reach round them to push. That won’t change with any other type of buggy board, a shorter one will just mean there isn’t enough space for them to actually stand. We had a lascal universal board on our other pram and just lining it up without attempting to fit it and it was obvious it wasn’t going to work. The YoYo + board combo is only really good for short stretches like when the toddler gets tired, not regular daily use.

Thank you -- I thought the only issue was the length of the board, so your message is very useful.

Now I need to figure out if I can do a 15 minute walk twice a day, plus our weekend 30 minute park trips, with an annoying YoYo board or if I want to find a cheap, used buggy with adjustable handlebars and a better board for a year or so use. I wish I had never got a YoYo (for this and other reasons).

We have a Phil and Teds for our toddlers, it was £70 secondhand and much more comfortable than a buggy+board combo. Means they can both be under a raincover too. It's not as compact so not great for public transport, but good for park trips and walking trips.

I bought the Lascal (?) board to go with our YoYo and it doesn't bloody work at all. It tips all over the place and isn't stable.

I love the YoYo but it is a pain with buggy boards!!
