Stroller as hand luggage on Qatar Airlines

Has anybody taken a stroller as hand luggage (so goes into the overhead cabin) with Qatar Airlines?

I am due to fly with Qatar airlines in February and was hoping to find a stroller that folds small enough to go as hand luggage as I don't particularly want it thrown under the plane and potentially damaged. From the strollers I've looked at, none seem to be within the dimensions for Qatar's hand luggage guide. Has anybody recently taken a stroller on board as hand luggage that they could recommend?

Baby zen yo-yo is within the guidelines

Hi! Could I please ask if you were able to take the cabin approved stroller onto the Qatar flight? We have a yoyo and I only just realised they don’t accept a buggy unless you have an infant. We have a 3 year old 🙁

we used to get round this pre covid on qatar - 3 year old has luggage allowance, find a cabin style rucksack that fits that and then put a pushcahir in there. We had a gb pockit at the time and it folded down into the rucksack nobody ever questioned it.

I have the Joolz aer and bugaboo butterfly and would highly recommend both. Not flown Qatar with them but not had any problems with taking them on as hand luggage on any of the airlines I’ve tried (6 different ones)

@LiquoriceAllsorts2 what airlines have you flown with? I really love the joolz aer but fly regularly with Ryan air/Aer Lingus where the only ones I can find that fit in their dimensions are gb pockit, cyber libelle and silver cross jet 3.. and I don’t love those 😞wondering how strict they are on a 5cm wider stroller lol

Brilliant thanks TUI is the same size as Ryan air/aer Lingus so they accepted slightly wider strollers is good to know! Did you need to ask or just fold at the gate and carryon?

ArabianGulf2Surrey · 23/03/2024 05:59

At HIA they have free strollers available, good to know if for whatever reason you have to check yours in

when boarding we just that we were taking it on. My husband did get questioned a bit when I was ahead with the kids and he walked on with both the aer and butterfly (plus rucksack) but once he pointed out that we were with him they were ok
