Hi we have just booked to go to Spain in October and we don't want to take our I candy pram as it's too bulky for the plane. Can some one please recommend some pushchairs that can go flat / lie down position our baby will be 4 months old when we go.

Thank you

BabyJoggers are good for this - lie flat and easy to fold. We had a Citi Mini as our main buggy, but I also got the BabyJogger Vue later on as a lightweight stroller - it still has lie-flat and the back can tilt both ways, so you can have parent facing or forward facing. They are not built to last though (although mine still works after 8 years! But small bits of it have failed) - the citi Mini is much sturdier.
You can get hold of BJCM second hand pretty easily.

I favoured umbrella fold pushchairs for the airplane. You can wrap a couple of bungy (not sure of spelling there) cords around them. Get good lie flat. Done forget the rain cover....we were in Portugal on a day trip and didn't think of unexpected showers....poor child!! Something like a Maclaren Quest....you can also get good quality second hand ones at a good price....which I much preferred to put in the hold than a new pushchair.

Silver Cross pop is good- lies flat, good hood.

For a 4 month old I'd suggest taking an ergobaby or similar, as it makes it so easy to get on and off the plane with baby, and you can use it during the trip too.

I think I would also get a Babyzen Yoyo with the "newborn pack". They're not cheap but you might be able to find a second hand one, they do hold their value quite well for selling on.

If you're taking a car seat as well you can attach it to the Yoyo frame to make a travel system.

Highly recommend the baby zen yo-yo newborn pack. It folds with this attached and is allowed as hand luggage when put into the bag it comes with. It also has a shoulder strap. I have even put it under my big double pram if I’ve had to take one baby to an appointment when my other half takes the other baby in the double. It’s expensive but worth the price I’d say!

Bugaboo Ant! It fits into the over head locker as well so you can take it onboard. I found the babyzen Yoyo to be flimsy in comparison:
