18 month old and newborn - double buggy?

I have just found out I'm expecting and starting to think ahead - my DS will be 18 months old when the baba arrives. Will I definitely need a double buggy or is there any way I could get away with a buggy board (is that what they are called)? I have a carrier so could possibly carry baba in sling and DS in buggy?

You'll need a double.

I got a second hand uppa baby vista when I had my second. Great as a double and then again back to a single. I found side by side doubles were hard to push if you had different weight kids in them / only had one in.

My friend tried the wrap for the newborn and pushchair for toddler. She tried once and got a second hand vista too. The toddler had a melt down and had to be wrestled into the buggy which isn't easy with a newborn strapped to you.

I had an out n about nipper. I absolutely loved it, really easy and light to push.

We have a cosatto xl wow because it’s has lots of different positions they can sit in. Our doorway isn’t big enough for a side by side double to get in

Yes!
I also preferred the tandem vs side by side. Have an icandy peach which I love (and a MB duet which I so not)
