Toddler buggy - recommendations for an everyday pushchair

Hello, I currently have a Mutsy travel system which I spent HOURS researching before DD (now 18 months) arrived, and it turns out that while I loved the car seat / pram combinations I don't love the pushchair. Especially now she is getting taller she seems to slump down in it. I also find it's a bit of a faff to fold and get in and out of the car.

Ideally I'd like:

  • upright seat
  • probably a three-wheeler to deal with parks etc
  • easy to fold (and locks when folded to pull along)
  • a large basket

I love the look of Phil&Ted's dot/ sport models but they are quite expensive especially as I don't need the add on / travel system features.

Also wondered about the Silver Cross Jet but that is a four wheeler and the wheels look tiny - not sure it would cope with anything more rugged than a pavement!

My sister has a Baby Jogger which I've borrowed but it isn't quite refined enough for my liking - I don't like the drawstring recline. And again, they are pretty pricey.

Any recommendations?! Wish that Mothercare was still around so I could go see some in person!

Do you have a budget? Mountain buggy is also good so take a look at those. We had a joie nitro for DC2 and it seemed that although it wasn’t necessarily an all terrain style we found we actually got on well with it okay on grass and across gravel etc.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by pulls along when folded? The umbrella style pushchairs definitely can but I don’t think the non umbrella one can as they’re not as lightweight
