Mountain Buggy Duet - carrycot or cocoon?

We're expecting twins and are set on the Mountain Buggy Duet for our pushchair. Makes sense for us for the width. I'm not sure whether to go for the carrycot+ or the cocoons though. I spoke to someone who only used the carrycot+ until 6 months as the parent facing seats were a bit rubbish. So I'm wondering if the cocoon would be better as much cheaper and seems easier to put on and off. Has anybody used the cocoon and how long did the baby/babies stay in it for? Or has anybody used the carrycot+ for longer than 6 months?

I used just a soft bugaboo cocoon/muff which was fine tbh. DD was always comfy and warm.

@JanewaysBun Thanks - did you use the Bugaboo cocoon with the Duet? How does it attach?

This is the cocoon, (purchased 2nd hand) I put the straps through it and strapped DD in (I.e. she was fwd facing) so it looks similar to how you put it in the bee. Worked well imo

I had carry cots and they were great. Parent facing, cosy and we used for naps in doors. Also my twins were tiny and i think would have been swamped in cocoons. Worth noting that although expensive they hold value well and I sold them on for about 60 percent of original price.

Mine were old style carrycots though not the plus ones

Have the carrycot plus and it's really good. I didn't like the look of the cacoon as it's just placed in world facing seat so you can't see into it.

Haven't used the parent facing seat yet
