3 month old too big for carrycots!

I have the egg pram
And the baby city double jogger. I have a 2.5 year old and a three month old. He is too big for both carrycots! I need to get the egg stroller for him and I think the city jogger can recline? But he isn't supposed to be in them til he's six months? He doesn't have head control. Does anyone know what I am supposed to do? Have you experienced it? Btw the city jogger cot was tiny!!

We had our DS in his pushchair reclining from 4 months, as he didn't fit the cocoon thing on the bugaboo anymore. Didn't know it was supposed to be 6 months Blush but he was fine!

Thank you for answering! So I don't need to buy some kind of insert ?

You could always roll a muslin and put that round his head to help with head control for a while

We had this problem and bought one of these until he was big enough to go in the seat compartment on his silver cross.

Although not as sturdy as a traditional peak, they are fine from birth as long as flat and ds liked it as he could look about.
We still have the stroller now as it’s ideal for folding into boot of car.

Oh sorry I see what you mean.
Both of mine have gone into the seats on silvercross and bugaboo sooner than six months. Probably 4-5 months. I can’t see how it is that different from a car seat tbh, so as long as they aren’t in it for extended periods of time.
But I would stand corrected if anyone could shed any light on why it is six months.

I have the egg and pretty certain they do a newborn insert to be used in the stroller seat for younger babies. I don't have it myself as dd was tiny and fitted in the carrycot until almost a year old but it might be worth looking at
