yoyo - newborn mode in hot weather

We are taking our first trip with baby (4 months) to Italy. Currently have the newborn footmuff on the yoyo but that will be way too hot - has anyone replaced it with something lighter? Would like to have something covering baby so he’s not so exposed, and he’ll just kick a muslin away (or try to eat it!). Will have a shade for the sun but would still like some added protection - any ideas? Thank you!

I took 2.5 month old DD to the south of France in summer and didn’t use anything over the YoYo- the sunshade is decent, it was pretty hot and we just put suncream on her and kept her in the shade as much as possible. We’ve also used an extra large muslin and tied it to the frame for evening snoozing but during the day you’d need to do it a way that allows air to circulate so he doesn’t overheat. We don’t have it but I think the YoYo also has a parasol you can buy.

We used this on our existing buggy ( that had a shade similar to the yo yo... it just extended the shade you already get.... ) was perfect so all of his body even as a toddler was covered
