Hi everyone!

We used to have the which report but not anymore - can anyone help me if they have the report - i am looking to buy a new car sear for my 4 year old and would usually depend on Which? for their best buys - can anyone advise?

Thanks!

The "Car Seat Advice for Mummies and Daddies" is great on facebook.

How heavy is your dc? If over 18kg he can go into a high backed booster unless you purchase a 25kg seat with harness.

Ive generally favoured Britax and recently moved my now 6yo from a rear facing Britax Two Way Elite to a generic Britax hbb.

I'm not sure about Which? but I saw a post on the Cybex Facebook page that they had just won an award for the best high back booster in a Swedish test (TEKSTA?) with their M-Fix seat.

If they're over 18kg then I can highly recommend it as we've been using for our daughter since she outgrew her Group 1 seat last year and it's been great. The fit is very secure and there's plenty of support and padding for her to look safe and comfy. We like the reclining headrest feature too.

18kg isn't the minimum for a HBB. Most kids outgrow the harness on a Group 1 seat before the weight limit. HBB is fine at 4 unless you prefer a harness.

I dont mean 18kg is the min for a HBB But that it is usually the highest weight for a harnessed seat so he only needs a new seat if over 18kg or eyes above currebt seat.

YY fair enough :)

Joie every stage so far for us had been great. Goes up to 12 years old - transforms from rear facing with 5 point harness to fwd facing with harness to hbb. Love ours
