Our 90th centile DS will soon outgrow his newborn to 13kg car seat which clicks onto our stroller frame. We live in a busy city and use taxis all the time so this arrangement has been a godsend (we're overseas so no black cabs). I'm basically wondering if there is a good travel system including car seat for older babies over 13kg?
Our current stroller is a cheap one, very lightweight and one-handed fold/unfold - basically a YoYo lookalike. We have an older model Bugaboo Cameleon as well which is very comfy and great for local walks etc. However it is a bit of a tank, awkward to fold away and put up, so we never use it in taxis. We also fly a lot and have only used the YoYo clone for that - we can take it to the gate and usually get it back at the aircraft door.
Happy to invest in a good system that would last us a while (and possibly next baby). Any recommendations? Or if you can't get a bigger car seat on a buggy, how do you manage if you're a frequent traveller/ taxi user?
