It's early days still but I'm expecting twins and this week my panic takes the form of pushchairs. I'm planning to get either a nipper or a mountain buggy side by side which should hopefully do us all the way through to walking. But... I used DD's car seat on her BJCM a lot when popping to shops during the first 9 months. I'm also imagining lots of situations where I would just have carried infant DD in my arms eg from car to baby groups etc, but I won't be able to do this with twins. Lastly nursery drop offs and pick ups are going to be difficult; I might be able to manage two car seats while they're newborn but not when they get older... but I can park a buggy in reception happily. (I do know about the risks of keeping babies too long in their car seat).
So I'm wondering about buying a second hand tandem (even just the chassis) that we can keep in the car for the first 6m or so for these occasions. As such... which pushchairs will do this? The infant seat we already have is a cabriofix so something with adaptors for 2 of those would be great. We have literally no other requirements, for this particular pushchair.
I know of... BJCM select, oyster max, icandy pear and peach blossom, and one called the Duellette which I've just seen. Are there others? Even discontinued or older models, as we'll be looking on ebay/gumtree. I just need the search terms! Thank you!
