Any suggestions would be appreciated for us to buy for our first family holiday to menorca. Not keen to take our "real" pram as pretty bulky and don't want it wrecked in the hold
Thanks in advance x

Hi usernoidea,

If you're looking for a cheap travel option, Mumsnetters often recommend the Mothercare Nanu. It's a traditional, lightweight umbrella fold for around £50.

We've had a play with the Nanu ourselves and it does what it says on the tin and gets the job done, though the harness buckle is a bit fiddly and the break isn't the sturdiest we've tried. There's a few nice features, like the large hood that would definitely keep your baby shaded in the Majorca sun, it comes with a rain cover included and the seat is fully reclining, which many cheap umbrella strollers don't have. So that's definitely an added bonus, especially with an eight month old who is probably still napping in the day.

It's pretty smooth to push around and only 7kg. But it's not as smooth as say a Babyzen YoYo+ (which is fab, by the way - super portable, smooth to push, comfy for baby and we would definitely recommend, but it's £290 so definitely doesn't come under 'cheap stroller') or even the UPPAbaby G-Luxe (£150-£200 depending on the retailer). But, then, the Nanu is also only £50. And given its price, it does a really good job.

Hope that helps!
