Where to go shopping for a pushchair

Hello! Newbie help needed - this is my first post here! :)

I'm looking to buy a pushchair/travelsystem/3wheel thingy for first baby (due in June) and went to mothercare and mamas and papas on the weekend.

Was a bit disappointed as they seemed to have a very limited selection.

I'm a runner, so really wanted to look at the Baby Jogger, Out and About, Mountain buggy brands etc. Can anyone suggest a big superstore or something where I'll be able to see a good selection?

I've looked online, but for something so expensive, I really feel I need to try something first (right)?

Do you have a John Lewis nearby? That's usually good and if you call them they can tell you what they have in stock.
If you say roughly where you are people might have some specific ideas.
