Has anyone got a recommendation? I have looked at the 'official' ones and they look really odd (and have poor reviews about slipping down etc) and are not cheap.

What have you used? Flowers

I had one from an old Petite star zia which had a curve at the bottom and looked really nice I thought. the zip was buggered though so I bought a cheap "universal" footmuff from eBay that mentioned the petite star zia in the description. It's been great and DD is certainly very smug in it. There were all the right holes for the harness but I did add extra button holes for the fold strap - you could easily just reach under though. I think it'll fit her this winter (she's 10m now) but next winter when she's two it might not be big enough.

I've swapped my old stokke one into it, and that is fabulous. It is £££ but my gosh, I wish I could climb in too.

The baby jogger ones are odd. The fabric slips and you can't snuggle in them. I used a buggysnuggle which was great.

Thank you. moggle what do you mean you added extra button holes?? tipple was the buggie snuggle ok for winter or just autumn?

I use our bugaboo one. It has a,slit in just the right place for the pull handle

You know there's the strap that you pull to fold it up, well I wanted to be able to feed that through the back part of the foot muff so it was visible and easier to grab. I don't know if there are holes for this on the official footmuff. They are in a similar place to the holes for the sides of a five point harness so like the above poster says, some footmuffs might have slits in the right place.
I don't think it'd affect function at all if you didn't have/add these holes, the strap would just sit under the muff and you could reach it quite easily.

Just mentioned this on another GT thread but I used one of these

www.wallaboo.com/footmuff-6-36-months-chocolat.html?color=Chocolat

I cut some extra holes in it to make it fit more smoothly (though I probably didn't absolutely need to) but it looks lovely and is sooo cosy with plenty of room for legs and feet.

I use a John Lewis own brand one on mine. Fits perfectly, is really warm and only cost ??25.

I bought a "Kaiser" one ( try prams net) and can thread the strap through ... it was expensive but bought it because it was waterproof and snuggly for a trip to ottawa in the winter ! ...Also liked the fact it was easy to unzip and not loudly " branded"
