Lightweight stroller dilemma! Also not being able to rely on stated dimensions...

I ordered a Graco Evo Mini, which is listed pretty much everywhere as being 48cm wide when folded.

IT IS NOT!! I measured and it is about 58cm wide. I think maybe they didn't include the back wheels in the measurements or something, but that doesn't make sense as there isn't even an option to remove them!

It will fit in the tiny boot of my car, but without the parcel shelf. Since I purchased it with the intention of keeping it in there rather than lugging the general pushchair in and out of the car all the time, this is rather disappointing. If it was 48cm wide when folded it would fit with the parcel shelf in place.

Which leads me to this question: How do you know if the folded dimensions of a pushchair include the wheels or not?! It makes no sense to me not to, especially where there is no option to remove the wheels!!

I am returning the Grace Evo Mini. So... can anyone recommend any good lightweight strollers, not umbrella fold (they never feel sturdy enough to me and I like a single handlebar), that fold nice and compact to go in a small boot?

have u looked at the baby jogger city mini? the wheels pop off pretty easily aswell.

bugaboo bee folds quite compact.

ive had both and they are both brilliant buggies which can be used from birth and are light with a small/easy fold

Yeah I do like the look of the BJCM but it is 61cm folded, so even wider, and ideally I don't want to have to faff around taking wheels off.

I don't want to buy anything as pricey as the Bee as this is a second pushchair.

Quinny Zapp is v small when folded as is the Petite Star Zia X.

Take a look at mountain buggy. They do a fab stroller that is designed to fold down into overhead storage bins. Friends with a mini keep one in their car. It's fab and once pregnant with #3 will get one for travelling.

As Want says, the Mountian Buggy Nano folds v small indeed. Also consider the Babyzen Yoyo.

Baby jogger city mini zip? Recaro easy life?

I've got a babyzen yoyo and I love it, but not a cheap option. I use it more than my 'main' buggy though!

I have a City Mini Zip. It's tiny folded with the wheels on.

Armadillo city, narrowest one I can't think of in price range. Also mb nano as mentioned, a used yoyo, the recaro easylife or a babyhome emotion. I've had an emotion for 5 years over 3 dc and it has been worth the purchase price over and over.

I was thinking of the Armadillo City, but I can't find many reviews on it! Might have to go try one...

The zip is also awesome.

The mountain buggy nano is $199 here in the US. It's stocked at a lot of places as its very popular in any of the urban areas. If you know anyone coming over its worth giving them the cash and asking them to pick it up for you. Most strollers are much much cheaper here. You could also try ordering it from Amazon US. It's so small and light they might ship it to the UK for the US price.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Just to update... I have just bought an Armadillo City. It's great... fits in the boot really well, definitely a smaller fold than the Graco Evo Mini was (and you can take wheels off too to make it even smaller if needed). I also like how the seat fabric is enclosed when it's folded and it has a handy carry handle on the top. And I got a bargain on Amazon Warehouse :D

My ICandy Raspberry is 54cm when folded - is that too big?
