Maclaren Techno Pushchair Wheels

After much deliberation we purchased a Maclaren pushchair.

It has been great so far however after only a couple of weeks of mild city pushing the wheels appear to be worn down.

Is this normal? Or is it a defect?

Seems odd that the wheels would start showing wear after such a short time. Cannot imagine how they will start to look in a couple of months.

Techno wheels last for ages, test they do wear but they keep going and going

Our maclaren wheels started to look a bit worn after the first couple of months, however 10 years on they still look pretty much the same.
