Uppababy Vista 2015 or Bugaboo Donkey

Help needed please!

I am due DC3 and DC2 will only be 14 months old and DC1 will be 2.5 (I'm mental I know)

I need a double pram that will also take a buggy board for days I have all three kiddies with me.

I have ordered the Uppababy Vista but it has a 9 week wait (which is fine baby isn't due until July) but starting to be unsure of my choice.

I LOVE the Bugaboo Donkey, it's such a lovely looking pram but I'm worried it will be too wide, boot space is not an issue and I don't tend to go shopping with the kids just on walks etc.

I just cant decide. Does anyone have any advice, as the Uppababy is so new i'm struggling to find anyone who has actually used one as yet!

I have had an Oyster Max in the past and didn't like baby being stuck in a basket underneath. Not keen on the mountain buggy either.

Cost isn't an issue as I get 25% discount on either pushchair which means I can get the Bugagoo new for pretty much what they sell for second hand.

Any advise gratefully received. Determined to make the right pram choice this time as I have had a few =/

Is the long wait for a particular colour? I ordered one last week from a website that has them in stock...

Personally I have gone for the Uppababy because it is cheaper than the bugaboo, creels nicer - IMHO and will function as a really good single. I'm hoping it will be a decent occacional double.... Sorry I can't be more help. I do know there is a wait for the rumble seat, but I don't know how long.

Hi,

Yes apparently a wait for the Rumble seat but I received that a week ago now but no pushchair. Went to a baby shop yesterday with the rumble seat and tried it out and wasn't happy with it so am taking it back, cancelling my order and getting my Donkey.

Out of interest.. What didn't you like?

DevonLulu · 09/03/2015 13:36

I would be interested too, to know why you didn't like it

Thanks

If both babies were facing me and the one at the front fell asleep I would have to fully recline the baby on the bottom as well or swap them seats (potentally waking the top one) vice versa if both babies were facing away from me, if the back one fell asleep then both seats needed to be reclined. The seats also cant face each other and I liked that feature on the city select. (but its a bit big for me)
The Donkey is actually slimmer than the vista in mono and only about two tyres width wider in duo mode.
I wasn't happy with the spacing between the seats when reclined either as they were super close together (which I know is a problem with most double pushchairs)
I have had an Oyster max before and also a city mini double.

What did you go for in the end? I'm having this exact same internal debate, but also just found out that the Uppababy Vista is 67cm wide, and the Bugaboo Donkey is 60cm wide in Mono mode, which really surprised me as the Donkey looks so much bigger. I even called John Lewis to check and they confirmed the Uppababy has a very wide wheel base.

So when I am using it eventually as a single buggy (which is the whole point of choosing one of these more expensive ones) the Uppababy is actually bigger.

I chatted to a mum who had a Donkey randomly in the shop, and she raved about it (also 3 kids). She also said the reason she got it was because they retain their value so well you can always eBay it and replace with a smaller one when middle child is out of it. Good point.

I've got a donkey. Got a 1 year old and a 2 year old. Pregnant with DC3. I love it. It pushes like a dream - so easily. I can get tons of shopping underneath and I like being able to quickly convert it to a single

hello,

i am trying to decide on a stroller. i have two children, a 5 year old girl that will be almost 6 when the new baby arrives, and a 3 year old boy that will be 3 1/2. the boy is on the immature side and will probably get tired and sit. even my daughter still gets inside when its later in the day or the evening or if its a long walk. so i am thinking i need a double with a board.
in your opinions, would you get a bugaboo donkey, uppa baby vista 2015, mima kobi, stokke crusi, icandy peach blossom 3 or something else entirely.

there is a good chance this is my last child, so i am not sure how i feel about investing so much money unless the stroller has excellent resale value. i prefer to have reversible seats and i really enjoyed how the child sits in my old stokke xplory. thank you all again!

Love my ICandy Peach 3, the new Uppa Baby one wasn't around when I was looking but the old one was too big for me, and the Donkey too wide.
