advice on buggy/travel system for newborn?!

Hiya, hoping for some advice as my head is melted with information! I am pg with no 2, and currently use a baby jogger city mini for my 3 year old, though he doesn;t use it much any more. When he was a newborn we had a loan of a graco travel system, which was fine. so now i am wondering can i use the baby jogger when the new baby comes in december? will have to buy car seat anyway, so i know i can get one that will fit onto baby jogger. am just worried that baby will be cold just in car seat on buggy. have been looking online and see that you can buy carrycot/basinette type things to fit onto baby jogger, has anyone any experience of these? i am wondering if it is easier to but new travel system with car seat included, as to buy car seat and then a carry cot type thing for baby jogger is going to cost about €400 anyway. any advice appreciated! i loved the baby jogger, but only started using it when my son was about 1 so i don;t know how to best adapt it for a new baby

If you like it I would get the carrycot. The 2014 deluxe carrycot is expensive £180 ish but the compact one is more easily available and cheaper. If you need a car seat too would you consider a fixed in the car one that would last longer than an infant carrier, so better value for money?

thanks! will have a look at fixed car seats, didn't realise you could get them so they lasted longer, so thanks again

I had the compact carrycot for my BJCM (I do love that buggy!) and it was good for about 3-4 months, by which point both my babies have wanted to sit up a bit and see out so they went into the pushchair seat then. The carrycots are often for sale on eBay hardly used. We've also got the car seat adapters for our maxi Cosi.

We used the carrycot until about 5 months - DD is quite small though. Worked nicely for us and you can use it with the seat fabrics on or off which might give you a bit more flexibility.
