Best newborn / toddler buggy for going up steps?

It's only a few steps (5) up to our flat (and I'm thinking the toddler will get out and walk up...) but because I had a horrible first birth and was in pain / had no strength for weeks (months...?) I'm worrying about how I'm going to get newborn + toddler up and down them.

I'm presuming a double would be too heavy so I was thinking a single pushchair with a second seat (we do a lot of walking). (I love the idea of a buggy board but not convinced my DS1 has the discipline required to stay on... Plus it'll be winter so want the option for him to have a cosy sit down).

My current bugaboo bee is rubbish at steps (I guess due to its small wheels.)

So... Anyone have (or can recommend) a carrycot buggy with second seat option that could be dragged up a few steps without breaking your back? Do you think air-filled tires would be useful?

I keep going round in circles so any advice will be gratefully received! Thank you!

My friend lives two floors and has a newborn and 15 month old, she uses a baby jogger city select and loves it. Finds it easy enough to get upstairs and both babs look very comfy.

Oh many thanks all! Had a busy evening so will look up your suggestions tomorrow. eatingforonemore - thank you! I was considering the bj select but didn't know anyone who had one, so great to have a personal recommendation.

Art and Tiggy - thanks! I hadn't considered either of those and look forward to investigating tomorrow. Smile
