Transition from carrycot to seat in Uppababy Vista

I have a 3.5 month old who has now grown out of the carrycot on her Uppababy Vista. The main seat is too big for her as she can't sit upright unaided. I have been using her Maxicosi car seat as a transition but she gets extremely warm in it as the air doesn't circulate. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can use to help support her in the actual main seat until she can sit unaided?

Many thanks

I thought about moving my son into the seat early but didn't in the end as I wanted him to be bigger before going into the seat unit. It's very buckety and he never looked quite comfortable in it. The snug seat may help here I suppose as it will flatten it a little.

My son was very long, but he didn't seem to mind being in the carrycot I think it was me who minded. I think it is so much nicer for them to be lying flat than hunched in a car seat.

I just used the seat but reclined it. You could pad out a bit with blankets if it's too deep?

There is a snug seat you can buy which pads out the seat. We tried DD in one and it made a big difference (she's 6 months but 0.4 centile so still small). In the end we bought a footmuff and that was enough padding to make the seat work and thought the snug seat would only be needed for a month or so and didn't really want to spend £30 on it. She hadn't grown out of the carrycot at 6 months so guess no bigger than your LO. The seat also reclines to flat as well.

Recline the seat.

Doesn't the seat recline back?

you could use a sheepskin liner in the car seat to keep her temp regulated ? i would just shorten the straps on the uppababy seat unit as far as they go and get a liner or the snug seat though. when you say she is too big for the carrycot how big is she its a big carrycot she must be a big 3 month old for her head to touch the top and her feet to touch the bottom
