Pram for first baby - which double / duo is best?

Hi
We're having our first in November and want to buy a pram that is easily convertable to take two, as we plan to have number two quite close to number one. I like the Bugaboo Donkey but it's so pricey, unless I get lucky on eBay. I'm not keen on the models that have one child sitting below the other and worry I'm doing myself out of choices.

Any advice and recommendations appreciated.
Thanks.

That is your choices really, the donkey, bj city select or a tandem. Suppose it depends what your worries are about tandems, whether they outweight cost etc. This sort of thing is hard to predict before you have dc1 in some ways.

Emmaljunga super viking.

I haven't tried it but did see it in store and it looks amazing, the back seat is slightly lower than the first but its behind rather than underneath.

I absolutely love Emmaljunga prams so this would be my choice.

Love love love the BJCS!

Baush where did you see the super Viking?? Emmaljunga are becoming mythical to me!

SqutterNutBaush · 12/06/2014 22:09

Ooh seems excitingly odd being called Baush, everyone calls my Squatter :o

We have an independent store here who happen to love Emmaljunga so there are always at least 5 different ones instore , which suits me haha

SqutterNutBaush · 12/06/2014 22:10

Auto-correct fail. I am Squtter not Squatter.

I did not think it through at all. I just couldn't be bothered to type the whole lot and that was my favourite bit Grin

They haven't got a scooter s have they? That's a mythical beast too. Our local often have a nitro city and occasionally one of the classic/cross type ones but never anything interesting

SqutterNutBaush · 12/06/2014 22:59

I love my city cross :o but then I have no coordination so I'm safer with fixed wheels!

They didn't have the Scooter last time I was in, think the fixed ones are too boring for the manager haha
