Hi I'm supposed to be swapping my mothercare spin for a Ziko Frankie. Upon mentioning this to my friend she told me they are awful prams that have a variety if problems from buckling wheels, collapsing on babies and breaking easily! I'm very confused and now my partner is telling me I am not to swap as they are dangerous. I'm swapping in two hours what should I do help???

Is it the umbrella fold one, if so I had one which was absolutely fine, I thought it was the ziko Herbie which was dreadful. But personally I wouldn't swap a spin for a ziko frankie unless the other person was giving me money as well as IMO the spin is worth more.

Have you researched it online or are you just going on what your friend said?

In my experience M&P prams are good, if a little overpriced. My one issue with them is that way the handle height adjusts means that they're not great if you're particularly tall.

Hi my spin needs new foam for handles and a new raincovers. I'm just concerned as I don't want a dangerous pram and the reviews are not very good my friends seems to be right. My partner now doesn't want to swap he wants to buy new but the person has already bought raincovers and foam for the spin I really don't know what I should do

Is it the umbrella folding one, or it it the one with the chassis and seprate seat unit. If it is the later I wouldn't swop as that is the one I have heard is awful.

I cant risk it collapsing with my daughter in it I'd never forgive myself. My partner flat out says no we are not swapping. I have emailed the lady telling her that he is more than happy to pay for the raincovers. The pushchair is still for sale I just can't swap it. Does this sound fair? I feel awful and would of swapped but as soon as my friend said and my partner checked reviews there's no way I can.

If they have bought the raincovers and the foam for your spin then I think buying them off the other person is a fair idea. The best solution if you aren't going to swap.

Mine was v sturdy

Tamsincti164 · 13/05/2014 17:19

We agreed that I'd pay for anything she had bought for the spin. My partner just wasn't happy after reading reviews and the more I thought about it I just couldn't risk it.

We've had 2 ziko frankie strollers, one for a boy and one for a girl, fab fab stroller and very sturdy. My friend had a spin which collapsed and on taking it back was told it was a common fault.

I think if you have bought a pram new at least you can return to the place if purchase if you have problems but if you buy second hand you have no option to return. Iv never had any problems with my spin but obviously that doesn't say all madels are the same the same as the Frankie. We have resolved the situation now and my partner is buying a new pram I just have to research which one to have . I would like to thank everyone for their comments.
