Want to buy our daughter a Smartrike for her 1st birthday but there are so many different types! Can anyone recommend a model please? Thanks

Watching with interest as we are also looking for our DD! Anyone?

None, they are plastic tat. We have had 3; one for DS's first birthday. Was ok for a few weeks, then handle snapped. Handle was replaced, but the whole thing was just too knackered and shaky to reuse for dd a couple of years later, and the steering at the handlebar end had gone.

Remarkably we got another one for dd! Steering on parent handle went the 6th time we used it. Whole thing replaced. Pedal snapped off. Money back.

Have a look at the push along trikes made by Puky or Toddlebike instead.

Puky much better quality and similar price to SmartTrikes.

radio flyer do nice ones. i got one which also has a stand on board for an older child. its really well made and steers much better than the little tikes one i got ds a while ago

Thanks. Just looked at Puky. They seem great. The ones with straps seem a lot more expensive though and we need straps as DD is only 1.
