What's the smallest folding pushchair suitable from birth?

We're going on holiday at Easter and can't fit our pram in the car as well as all our luggage. DS will be 3 months old so still needs to lie flat. TIA :)

Sorry I should have also said I prefer it to have one handlebar so it's easier to push one handed, as I often need to hold DDs hand at the same time.

Aha, harder but not impossible. What kind of shape is best? You've almost got enough for a babyzen yoyo but not the 0+ pramette one. It might be worth a look to see if you think the 6mth plus recline would be enough for you as the fold is ridiculously tiny. I have had one of these for 4 years and it's lovely! I used it from 3m, very very light as easy to push. I have no idea why the red kite also appears on that link, I actually have that too and it's also great, teeny if you take the wheels off modestly compact with them on. There are things like the city mini of britax b agile that are very small when you remove the wheels, if you're happy doing that then they are good solid options. If you don't mind pushing the budget slightly you could get an oyster gem and carrycot, that's a tiny fold. I don't know if the carrycot flattens, if not you could use a wedge like that from the silver cross surf or mamas and papas sola city to make a flat seat.

I wouldn't put DS in a pushchair that didn't lie flat just yet ihateparties I would've done with DD as she had better head control but DS is still very floppy and doesn't like being propped up.

I will look into how easy it is to take the wheels off the b agile. I think the city mini is too wide (its wider than my cameleon).

Do you know if the m&p wedge fits the gem? I don't suppose there's any way to try this out before buying...I do like the gem but don't want to buy a carrycot for one holiday before he grows out of it!

I have a surf nest but never tried it in the gem, it has fitted in pretty much everything else I have tried it in though. The mamas and papas one looks pretty good for a very reasonable price.

It's really easy to take the wheels off the b agile, I had one a couple of years ago for when dd2 was a baby and really liked it. I ended up with the red kite because of my obsession with narrow, it's only 53cm, I really like city minis but they are 10cm too wide for me. I think the new city lite is under 60cm but I'm not totally sure.

I like narrow too, I wouldnt get anything wider than my cam as it would be a tight squeeze in our narrow hall.

I'm considering gem plus the wedge thingy but just been googling city lite, it's not available just yet is it? I wonder how small it folds...

Do you know if the m&p armadillo is any good? They look quite narrow and fold small. There's a £50 discount code for these atm and apparently they're suitable from birth.

The Babystyle Oyster Gem hammock seat is suitable from birth. The fabric is very cheap as an add on.
The Baby Jogger City Lite is due out any time, but its not much lighter than a Baby Jogger City Mini and the folded size is very similar.
The Armadillo is horrible. It might not be too bad for you given it is for a newborn, but for an older child it is problematic. The harness is very annoying too.
The new Quinny Zapp Xtra2 would probably be my choice if suitable from birth is your criteria.
However with a 3 month old for just a holiday, I personally be buying a YoYo or a Mountain Buggy Nano (which is suitable from birth if you use a car seat). Part of the point of lie flat is to give a newborn time to unfurl and stretch to allow organs to fully expand and grow during sleep and is what is recommended.
But short term for a holiday, I see no harm in using a nearly flat pushchair for a few days - your baby is unlikely to be in the seat all day long. The YoYo / Nano IMHO are literally degrees off newborn 'flat' - the Bee is not flat for example but is suitable from birth. Look at this for example. Full link is here.
