Baby Jogger City Lite, Graco Evo Mini and the 3 wheel 'problem'

Hello, I am agonising over a pushchair that is smaller, lighter and more convenient than my current travel system. I was interested in the icandy raspberry but am not sure so am going to carry on looking until it's out. I thought I wanted a reversible seat but am not sure about probably paying more than twice as much as the ones in the title would cost.

I like the look of the two above, especially the light weight and easy fold and I love How narrow the evo mini is. The problem is I think I would really prefer 4 wheels, I am worried about 3 wheels being unstable up and down kerbs and that it could potentially tip. So, I could go for the BJCM 4 wheel version but I would have to compromise on the extra weight and width compared to the City Lite. For arguments sake I could add in the M and P Armadillo as a 4 wheel narrowish pushchair (non-reversible I think).

I have also looked at the Petite Star Njoy Bubble after seeing it on here and I love the concept but not the design so much. The idea of an umbrella fold with a reversible seat is fab but I don't like the dangling empty harness at the front when it's in parent facing mode. I was also put off by the two handles rather than one bar. I have fallen in love with the M and P Urbo 2 in the colour way here but also because it's small and neat and with a reversible seat! but the price might not be much less than the ICandy.

I don't want to think of the practicality of price really, but it is important because I want an extended rearfacing car seat and am saving for that just now.

Check the weight of the city lite.. I don't think it's very much lighter than the bjcm. I'm going to go ahead and mention my red kite zumi again because it fits your bill and is cheap and narrower than anything you have mentioned. If dc3 was younger I would totally have bought a valco snap 4 off eBay from the us to have a 52cm wide 4 wheeler. I actually did import the air wheel kit for the 4 wheeler and use the air wheels on the red kite, which is my personal perfection but for the missing front wheel. I actually find that's the compromise I hardly notice.
The evo mini is meant to be great, the wheels are too small for my use, the armadillo was close but still a bit big. I really wanted a stroller sized bar handle full recline pushchair, full upright pushchair. Which I now have. Again if dd was younger or indeed not my last child I would probably be dreaming about parent facing but at almost two I can live without it.

You're right, the City Lite is pretty much the same weight as the mini, the 4 wheel version is heavier (just checked my little comparison table). Width wise none of them is vastly smaller than my travel system - I think the mini is 61cm and the lite 58.5. But both feel neater I suspect.

Will check the red kite. I keep coming back to parent facing with my 6 month old. I haven't had him forward facing yet, and would like the option.

Yes, at 6m I would want parent facing too.

So bee, raspberry, urbo (the new one with better suspension looks.. better) at 53cm, the bubble you've discounted. Easywalker mini at 55cm, then the oyster at 56, I think the joie chrome is 56.5 (I really liked mine but it's not light weightwise).

It's a pretty small set to choose from. This is 52cm apparently but not quite available yet and the pre announced dimensions don't always match up. It's fairly light too.

Thanks for the extra ones to check out. I can't bring myself to buy the Oyster because it was on my list when I was pregnant! I should discount baby jogger on width but I keep coming back to it because so many people say it feels smaller.

An independent baby shop near me sells icandy and baby jogger (but not bugaboo :( )so I can have a try when the raspberry is released. I can try the urbo 2 as well. I'm leaning towards raspberry or urbo 2 but am still keeping the evo mini in mind.
