Maclaren Techno XT vs Uppababy G-luxe

I'm looking for a lightweight compact buggy for my mum to use when she is looking after my 1 year old DS while I'm at work.

So far I have short listed the Maclaren Techno XT or the Uppababy G-Luxe.Happy new year bro! (I will also have another look at Babyjogger City Mini, but suspect she would prefer something with a more compact fold.)

Has anyone done a comparison of the two?

No comparisons but I loved my XT

They are indestructible

always go for the XT. light and hard core! and conformortable for the my dds

The Techno XT is not what I'd call compact and lightweight. It's great as a main pram, but too big for a second/grandparents/keep in the car pram. I had one, but swapped it for a Maclaren Quest, which does exactly the same job (it's suitable from birth too) but with smaller wheels and it folds slightly smaller. The only thing the Quest lacks that the Techno XT has is the extendible hood.
The Quest is cheaper too.

Thanks for your comments! I will do a Quest vs XT comparison. Definitely want something lightweight for my mum.

G luxe is lighter than a quest. I looked at both. In my opinion the g luxe has better wheels/ suspension than a maclaren, feels better / easier to push and can be pushed one handed, and has better features e.g built in UV sunshade, can stand upright etc. The seat recline on the g luxe is good too. You don't see many of them around yet but they are def contenders to the maclaren throne
