Looking at purchasing this pram as I am due 2nd baby and my first will be 18months old.

What do you think of it? Would you recommend? Is it compact? How does it handle as a tandem? What are common problems? pros & cons I'd appreciate them all

I live in the north east of Scotland and there doesn't seem to be anyone near that stocks it so I can have a look & play, so it will be an online purchase.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to where to buy? John Lewis stock, but does anywhere else cheaper?

Thanks in advance Smile

Honestly, its not one I would recommend buying blind. I will confess I did, and I loved it for about 8 months (22 month age gap) until I finally understood what people meant by it getting too heavy to push. Since then, I have had the City Select next to the Oyster Max, and the 2 iCandy tandems and there is absolutely no question that the City Select is heavier by miles to move, push and carry, even when empty.

I loved my City Select whilst I had it. I loved the seating positions, the big wheels, the huge basket, the tiny fold etc. But ultimately my baby had literally just gone into the seat unit when I was forced to stop using it because the pains up my arms were too much.

Normally I would say to go and try it. Unless you are happy to buy one, try and hope and return if no good, then I would honestly say look at all the options before deciding.

I'm also thinking of this pushchair and will have a 26 month gap... however, now after reading your review Tiggy I'm thinking again. the thing I really like is that it's a travel system and there isn't one baby sitting on the floor in the basket staring at the back seat of the other!! I like the look of the donkey but someone else said it takes ages to put it together and take it apart to get it into the car. I have too much of a list of criteria & fear the pushchair I want doesn't exist!!!

My short list was p&t, Icandy pear, and the city select..........I have heard the Icandy is heavy as a single so as a double I cannot imagine how it would be, the p&t has no basket with 2 seats, and therefore I thought the city select.......the oyster max is 6mth plus for seats as I understand so I wrote this off from the start......this really is a minefield!!!!

I am no wiser"..........

The oyster max has one from birth lie flat seat and carrycot options so no need at all to write it off :-)
