Buggy/stroller that I can steer one-handed?

I currently have an iCandy Cherry and a MacLaren XT Sport (or something).

I LOVE the iCandy, but it has had nearly 4 years of constant use and is now a bit broken. I HATE my MacLaren - mainly because I can't steer it one handed so struggle when out and about with my nearly 4-year-old (he wants to hold hands all the time!)

So I am after a stroller/buggy that is nice and roomy (DS2 is a big 11 month old), that I can steer one handed. Ideally for less than £200.

Any ideas? I have seen the M&P Armadillo online, which looks like a contender, but I don't know what else is out there...

Thank you!

Baby Jogger City Mini, the best all rounder out there and a lovely smooth one handed push.

I have a mamas and papas Luna which has been a fab lightweight and very easy to push, esp with one hand.

Micralite fastfold. Brilliant buggy.

Gintastic · 27/11/2013 19:56

Another vote for nipper. I love mine, it's sturdy as you like and was under £200.

onlysettleforbutterflies · 27/11/2013 19:58

I have the jogger micro, cheaper version but I love it, I have had 3 and this by far beats the others hands down.

Does the BJCM tip over? Another issue I had with my Maclaren is that if I have my changing bag hanging on the back (over the handle bars) it tips over whenever I lift my baby out...

Nipper. Had double, have single. Easy one handed push and go anywhere. My nearly 3 year old still fits in so should be roomy enough.

tethersend · 27/11/2013 20:05

Just choose your buggy and put these on to stop it tipping.

ive just brought a britax b agile for my 13 month old and its fab. folds small but very sturdy, he looks really comfy in it, lots of room. easy to put up and down and can easily use with one hand. got mine off amazon for £160 Smile

99redbafoons · 27/11/2013 21:28

I have a BJCM but find it really hard work to push and steering one handed is not much fun. Not sure if it's because my DS is quite heavy?

So many people seem to love theirs but I think four wheels is easier for a one handed steer as the front single wheel on the BJCM seems to always be wiggling about at the slightest bump in the pavement. Maybe the BJCM4 would be better?

I now have a BJ Versa which is a dream to push and steer one handed but heavy to lift.
