Lightweight pushchair for tall parents

I thought my buggy addiction was a thing of the past but it seems not! I need something very light and think its probably going to be a yoyo but thought I'd check what you all thought first...

I have a cam which I use for proper walking, but live in an upstairs flat and am pregnant, finding it increasingly hard to get it up and down stairs.

I have a maclaren quest which is my lightweight alternative, and I actually like it quite a bit APART from the fact I kick it all the time (managed to kick the brake on while crossing a busy road the other day- pretty dangerous as well as annoying) and it makes my shoulders because I'm hunched over it. Also I hate the lack of suspension.

My ideal buggy would be about 4kg, would have a tall or extending single handlebar, a full recline and calf rest, full suspension, and a very upright upright seating position.

The yoyo fulfils some of this but there are some areas in which it's not as good as my quest. The quest has a calf rest, a full recline, a really good raincover, a nice well supported upright position.

I'm tempted to wait for the mountain buggy nano but not sure it'll have a tall enough handle bar anyway, plus it looks quite ugly.

I hate the micralite...

Can't find anything else light and tall... By light I mean 6kg or under, definitely no more otherwise I can't get DS up and down stairs any easier than in the cam

Hello,

We've noticed this thread is quite old and some of the product recommendations are a little out of date. We've spent weeks speaking to parents and testing out strollers and buggies. Read our buggy reviews for a list of the best lightweight strollers around.

Hope that helps!

I thought the BJCM was under 6kg? It would be my recommendation too and DH is 6ft6 and we can both use it with a sling on.

7.6kg on their website.

I keep thinking someone will make something ideal for me/dcs at some point but in 6 years it hasn't really happened.

I don't know what else apart from the yoyo is realistically in the running. Just opinion but I don't think a different umbrella pushchair will help ultimately.

The only one still sitting in my mind is the xtreet being that imo it's a bit firmer than the yoyo but that's an import job and you could well have an issue with the not mega upright seat.
