Petite Star Zia with bigger toddlers?

I used one for a week over the summer when visiting relatives and found it really hard to steer - the front wheel seemed very stiff when DS was in it (he's 3 but not huge for his age). It was fine to push when he was walking though.

I really do still need a buggy for various reasons, ours is huge and cumbersome, there's one FS locally for peanuts and it does fit all my criteria otherwise so - are they really pants for heavier children or was the one I borrowed faulty?

I had one for DS when he was small and didn't like it, but it was useless for my nephew who was under 2 (but very tall) at the time.

They found a McLarren buggy best for him

I've got one and still use it for my ahem 'sturdy' 3yr old and it's fine but we have the version with 2 wheels at the front.

This was the 3 wheel version. I want to love it because its turquoise and cheap but if its going to be stiff to steer then its no good....
