Hi, I have an old 2nd hand XT. It's in ok condition but the hood is tatty and I've just managed to break the rod (?) that goes round the front of it, so now it's even more tatty! Plus it doesn't unzip and extend like the newer models.
I've seen a few replacement hoods for sale, but I'm not sure if this is worth doing. Does anyone have experience of replacing the hood, in particular "upgrading" to a newer version? Would a newer one fit and is it easy to do?
