Has anyone had either of these pushchairs. I am torn between them both!

They look pretty simmilar. Iv had a play with Joie. But not babystart (its from argos)

I have a chrome and oddly I did also bring home, open and then return a babystart combi when they were half price.

The chrome is better for the money imo, the babystart at £110 was pretty good but it's very low down, lowish handle and harder to push and steer (I was on carpet inside) where the chrome has an adjustable handle, massive basket, reasonable suspension, pretty compact and folds with the seat on in either direction. I have the carrycot but have never used it as dd is 18m but that sits very high on the frame, which I would have liked for a newborn I think.

The only negatives I have on the chrome really are the harness breaks into all 5 pieces everytime you undo it so it's fiddlier to do up than the sort of harness where the waist and shoulder bits are clipped together, the seat isn't very padded and the fabrics are not particularly fantastic, they're fine but nothing luxurious.

The babystyle oyster gem is another option at a fairly similar price.

Yeah sorry, it isn't out yet. Not sure exactly when, there's now another thread suggesting autumn time. The review models are around so it can't really be that far off.

Late September for arrival in the UK so I have been told.

Murma · 11/10/2013 18:59

hello
is the chrome easy to fold with one hand?

Murma · 11/10/2013 19:00

sorry one more question, are the tyres on the chrome air filled?
thank you

Ihateparties · 11/10/2013 21:15

The chrome needs two hands to fold and the wheels are not air filled :-(
