Hi, DS is 4 months and really wanting to look about and is starting to get really annoyed being in the carrycot in his icandy strawberry. How awful a mother would I e to put him into the seat unit quite soon? I need him to be happy in his pram but obviously don't want to hurt him.

My ds was 4 months when he went into the peach main seat. He was way too long for the carrycot by then.

It's best for lung and spine development if they are lying truly flat but in reality a lot of babies are getting antsy in carrycots at this age. I got a peach blossom when dc3 was almost 4 months, too late for a carrycot so i used a stokke wedge in the lower seat which worked really well. Kept her head, neck and back flat but placed her on the seat rather than cocooned in the carrycot so she could see out. Similar sorts of wedges come with britax carseats, the silver cross surf also has something similar. Worth a look perhaps?

Dd was miserable in cherry carry cot by 12weeks because she couldn't see much, I put her in cherry pushchair in fully reclined, parent facing & she loved it.

Thanks all. Will prob try him on the seat unit tomorrow and see if he's happier.
