Pressed too soon!
Me tooGrin the shr definitely clips straight on.
ConfusedAll the britax seats have the same slots so they all can clip onto the britax pushchairs, hence they will all fit the oyster.
There are some height adapters but as the name suggests they are just for added height.

Height adaptors are optional though. they can be bought for any of the car seats and the carrycot to raise them up as they are admittedly quite low down. Height adaptors are not the same as the adaptors NEEDED to put the car seat on - these are not required for the Britax.

this is what i have:

www.britax.co.uk/car-seats/car-seats/baby-safe-plus-shr-ii

and it does not need adaptors Smile

the height adaptors are only optional for all other seat if u dont believe me then go to the babystyle website then open up the manual for the oyster go to page 18 and there is a chart with all car seats and how they fit then in red writing says note the britax babysafe plus shr II requires the oyster carrycot/car seat height adaptors there is confusion as the britax plus shr dont need adaptors read in a lot of reviews of people being told the shr II dont need the adaptors but defo do

Ok but i am saying i HAVE this car seat but do NOT need adaptors. The website must be wrong as i have used the oyster and car seat every day for 16 months and can 100000% promise that we don't have the adaptors lol

Whereas I bought mine from the shop and had to get the adaptors. I did spend 5 minutes trying to fit the car seat on to the frame before realising there were adaptors there. Then it fitted no problem! Maybe it's different style Britax car seats?

I deffo have that car seat in the link i posted above. unless there's been a new version of the oyster brought out? that could explain it?

I'm pretty sure we've got this one. (Bearing in mind we haven't used it yet!)

We have the Britax seat and the adaptors. Don't need them tho, other than to raise the height of the carseat.

Love love love my Oyster - good choice!

Ok my baby is 4 months old so car seat is very new, I got the oyster from the baby show last month- again very new. I used it on the school run without any adapters. The seat goes straight into the frame. before I sold the oyster because I hated it

All britax seats have to have the same fitting for them to fit onto the britax pushchairs!

I've just looked at the links. The Kiddiecare link is for the basic babysafe seat. That might be the one that needs adapters.

The babysafe shr definitely doesn't.

I loved mine from tiny baby but one word of advice.- my two year old looked very large and like he was too big for it and kind of sat slumped so i then changed it.

I know very little about it as yet, not even price, but have a look at the new Mutsy I-Go. I saw it yesterday and its got a seat very like the Oyster, but the fold is pretty flat. Also the new Casual Play Kudu 3 and 4, also have a seat very similar to the Oyster.

Got an email back from britax if using the britax babysafe plus shr II u do need the height adjuster adapters to use on the babystyle oyster if u are using britax babysafe plus shr then u don't need adapters and if using britax babysafe this has intergral adapters supplied with the seat. I know some on here have all ready said don't need adaptors but just passing what britax has said.
