Should I invest in a double buggy?

Hi

I am wondering whether I should invest in a second hand Phil and Ted's double buggy.

I have a 3 year old (4 in May) and a 5 month old. A few friends have this buggy and swear by it, but their older ones are a bit younger than mine.

Do you think it would be worth it to get one?

Thanks for your advice!

We ditched the double around the time DS1 turned 3, so personally, I'd say no. But then I guess it depends on how much walking you do? We can easily cover 3-4 miles on a balance bike, but I also have access to a car.

It depends. My dd is 4in July and I had them both in double today as I walked to a park about 40 mins away. If I didn't walk so far (trying to lose weight) then I would have been ok with buggy board and/or scooter.

I love mine. But like you said my eldest is younger than your eldest.

Depends how much walking you'll be doing.

I have a just turned 3yo and a 1yo, walk everywhere... though the double would be LONG gone by now as it was with DC1 and 2... now thinking that maybe I'll keep it forever a bit longer Smile

I wouldn't....my DD was late still in a double - partly because she decided to escape on us aged 3 and a bit in a shop. However within a few months she was more sensible and by 4 didnt want to be in a double pushchair. If you had one already I would say its handy to have, but I definitely wouldnt get one. Buy a Mini Micro scooter and get your eldest scooting, and a scooter tug for times where you need her nearby!
