Should you use a carry cot or just the seat unit?

Hi,

I'm researching pushchairs and am a little confused! I'm looking at the Maxi Cosi Mura 3 and it looks like it can do a million and one things, but the carry cot is recommended? The seat unit is parent facing and fully reclines, why would I need to buy a carrycot as well?

Sorry if I'm being a little dim!

TIA!

As the prev poster says, lots of the lay flat seat units aren't actually good enough from birth. However, if you look at the Which reports for Maxi Cosi pushchairs, they say the seat units are excellent and suitable from birth. This is one reason I chose the Maxi Cosi Elea.

If I had another (and bought another pushchair) I wouldn't get the carry cot. DD was long so didn't fit it for very long and it was a pita to lug about. Friends seemed to squash their babies into their carry cots longer than I would have done just to get a reasonable amount of use out of them.
