iCandy Cherry- is there a knack to getting the carrycot off?

So, after much humming and ha-ing, we opted for the iCandy Cherry with carrycot for our baby that is due in 7 days!

We've assembled it and I know realise that I am struggling to get the carrycot off. I push the grey buttons on either side, but then when I go to lift it out, it doesn't click out. I end up struggling and unclicking one side of the cot and then the other side, by which time the first side has locked back in place. I can get it out if I put my foot on the frame and really hold it down, but its quite tricky.

Am I missing a trick here or are they all like this? Or do I need to go and take it back to the shop?

I find lifting it by the handle on the hood with the hood up works best. I know it's not much help now whilst you are struggling but give it a few days of wear and you'll find it comes off ridiculously easy.

It does take a bit of pulling. We got ours 4.5 years ago and it was stiff then. You'd think it would have loosened but we had it back out of the loft in December as DS2 was born and it was still quite stiff.

I found the best thing was to push down the locks at the same time and giving it a good shake (slightly lifting it up off the ground) worked but it certainly wasn't great for my back!

Maybe try some WD40?

Thanks for the tips. I'll give them a go!

I found my carrycot came off mine really easily but the car seat adaptors were impossible. Never got them to work properly Hmm
