Baby Jogger - baby not sitting right?

I am totally in love with my baby jogger city elite and sidewalk, however, my 10 month old just doesn't seem to sit right in it. I'm pretty sure it's because the seat back doesn't go fully upright... He is always sliding down in the seat or ending up leaning to one side! I bought a belly bar for him to hold on to, which bless him he tries but can't quite manage it- it's a little too far away from him and he just can't sit up to reach it. So annoying its times like this I so miss my Mutsy 4 rider, he sat up so nicely in it :( Has anyone else experienced this? Does it just get better when they are a bit older? Or is there anything I can do to improve it? Thanks!

Which one has the issue - the Elite or the Sidewalk? Do either have openings at the rear of the seat to insert a board into the back? Or do they have boards in already? I have to say 10 months is pretty young to have a baby fully upright. Is he properly strapped in ie completely tight - I only say because I doubt my 2 year old could reach the belly bar to pull himself forwards - its a long way forwards on a Baby Jogger. If he isn't, then I would make sure he's completely tight - check the crotch strap etc is all correct for him. Do you think a head hugger type support would help keep him central?

Its more the elite I find he doesn't sit properly. It's probably worth mentioning I have a sheepskin liner in there which might not help?! I actually have bought a P E board from kooltrade for my sidewalk! He was really slouched in there (I've always slightly resented the fact I didn't buy a city mini with the better features including board!!) and the board did help. They have discontinued it now though so i couldn't buy another but maybe it would help if I moved it across from my sidewalk to the elite?! From my research I found that the City Mini 2011 & 12 are the only ones with the PE board included, and they aren't in any other baby jogger at all! They wanted you to buy them. Thank you I will definitely check the harness that it's tight enough. I just miss my 4 rider he used to sit forward a bit and hold the bar and he loved it! Stupid thing fell apart though which apparently is really rare! Incidentally have you seen a sidewalk and did you like it? Thanks Tiggy you're a star!

I was laughing the other day at someone who stuffed a child's book down the back of the seat - inside the fabric instead of a board - but TBH thats all it needs...a book, correx, a think board, thick cardboard etc.

I haven't had a Sidewalk - just lots of other Baby Joggers! The BJCMGT I am sure has a board in the back and also I believe in the base of the seat.
