Tiggy and some others helped me decide on a +one which I have on order, the delivery is on hold (I have to sell my Elite and Stokke first as I have no room!)

I finally got to see the +1 yesterday but unfortunately the SA had less idea than I on how it worked.

I managed to establish a few things though and one or two questions:

  • I can get the carry cot on without striping down all of the pushchair fabric, just unbuttoning the top part (I think I will want to switch between different modes depending on what I'm doing/going). I'm guessing I can do this with the maxi cosi adapters/seat?

  • Do you know which maxi cosi adapters I need as they were not sure? The ones she produced looked like quite a contraption of bars

  • In any case, Im certain the maxi cosi/carrycot will not allow my toddler to perch on the front but...Has anyone seen the face to face seat, is there anyway I can lock it on high enough to get my toddler sitting on the front as I can see we will have a problem from 3/4 months until baby can sit up.

Saying all this, I did like the pushchair!

I haven't tried either the carrycot or car seat adaptor but I ave seen other Mountain Buggies and as you say you can probably fit the carrycot or car seat adaptors on by undoing parts rather than stripping it down. It would be interesting if you are able to get your toddler on the front as well. I would love to know whether this works.
The car seat adaptors are usually a chunk of metal these days. A google should throw you up an image. Just watch because the Duo / Duet car seat adaptors only held up to a 9kgs baby which is usually not until the end of a car seats lifespan of up to 13kgs. It's usually around 9/10 months old.
Again I don't know about the face to face seat but I know one one else who wanted to try one too. Again bear in mind the face to face seats have a low weight limit - I believe 9kgs also and also hold the baby at the same angle as a car seat, so unless the seat fits better than a car seat, I don't see the point in buying one - you may as well use the car seat as the same guidance for use shoud apply.

Hi Tiggy, thank you for your help. I just got my buggy today having sold my Elite and Stokke so fast I had it released for delivery, I will use it as a single for a couple of months. I absolutely love it!!! My daughter is beyond excited and wants to be pushed around the house in it (I loved the Elite but she never liked the recline on it so this is perfect as it so upright)

I cannot wait to get my mitts on a face to face so I can see if I can use this once the soft carry cot is too small and still get a toddler on there, if so it is going to have absolutely everything, if not we will be using the sling from 3/4 months I guess if both need to sleep at the same time.

Thanks again.

PS the Face to Face is out for delivery this week, I just need to find a store that will allow a return if I think it is no good.
