icandy Seat... Too soon to use it?

I have the peach jogger (glacier) and love it to bits! I purchased it along with adapters for my car seat, and then purchased a (nearly new) carrycot online. The carrycot is actually from a blossom/twin peach... So is slightly smaller than that of the one that should belong to the jogger. Any how, my baby is growing fast and at 3 months is getting too big for the carrycot. We like to go on long walks and I don't want her in the carseat for long periods. She loves to look around and be nosey too! Is it too soon to put her in the seat? I have bought a liner for the seat and sleeping bag to pad it out.
My question out of all this babbling is... Has anyone else used the seat before it's recommended age level?

I'm interested in this too. My DD is only 4 weeks but I can already see that she'll be too big for the Strawberry carry cot long before 6 months (she's very long) so wondering how soon we might be able to use the pushchair seat of there are any adaptations we can make to try to adapt it to suit a slightly younger baby?

I would honestly try to keep your baby in the carrycot as long as possible. Yes, they will fill it out by the end, but as near to 6 months as possible would be better for your baby. There is however a wedge / footmuff available from Kiddicare, or Stokke do a wedge. The Silver Cross Surf has a wedge too but they are really difficult to find.

I posted a similar thread when my DD was about 3.5mo. We had the iCandy Cherry. I started putting her in the seat shortly after that as she was just getting miserable in the carrycot. She was already holding her head up well, but didn't sit unaided till 5mo. I had it reclined a bit so she wasn't "slumping" in the seat, as I don't think it's great for their spines to be in a full sitting position before their muscles are strong enough to hold them up.

On the iCandy Website it says that you can transfer babies into the seat unit before 6 months but only if they have outgrown the carrycot and only in fully reclined position.

I wouldn't recommend putting them in earlier, saying that my 20 week old is now in my cameleon flat or semi reclined, I use the wedge from the pebble car seat we have to take out some of the depth and offer support. Ds is in the seat due to screaming constantly when awake inthe carry cot!
