DS (6 weeks) hates travelling in the carrycot

Well as the title says really. He mostly cries when he travels in the carrycot, he hasn't got the best digestion system yet and it seems that he wants to look around. He is quite happy in the carseat but it's a bit of a faff to take the carseat out of the car each time.
So I was wondering how bad it would be to him in the seat (suitable from 6 mo it says on the label). I have an iCandy peach blossom and certainly the lours set does seem too bad for a LO.
Any advice gratefully received.

It's not ideal as it can contribute to plagiocephaly/brachycephaly. Have you tried a sling instead? Not a Baby Bjorn/Mothercare type, they are badly designed. Young babies often like a stretchy wrap (e.g. a Boba Wrap).

I'm quite relaxed about that sort of thing, but I wouldn't put a 6 wk old in a set meant for a 6 mo, it wouldnt do him much good. Try a good carrier, he probably wants to be upright.

Yes, I have a sling but I don't always find it terribly useful, especially when it's hot and clammy.
Arggh, you people are not telling me what I want to hear! Wink

My DS was the same!

I bought the Mothercare Ergonomic Bath Support , covered it with a blanket to make it softer, and put that in the carry cot. DS loved being able to see better :)

ooooh milk that is very clever indeed! Thanks for the tip.
