I have found a second hand Phil and Teds Sport (2010) for sale and went to try it out yesterday - it was perfect, apart from the fact that one of the back wheels did not lock when the brake was put on.
DH (an engineer) thinks this might be due to P&T's 'quick release' system for their wheels. He had a fiddle with it and did get it to lock but only intermittently. He thinks it might just need a washer put in, but I'm a bit worried this will cause us a headache later on.
Spoke to a friend who has the same model and she said not to worry as she rarely uses the brake anyway (and lives on a hill). Ordinarily I would look for another, but we live in France and you don't get many P&T's out here so we were lucky to find one we liked at a reasonable price (?350).
Wondering if anyone else has had this problem - is it a real problem for you? Have you managed to fix it? Any other problems I should know about on this model (apart from the brake being very stiff to lock and release).
