I absolutely love it! DC2 hasn't arrived yet (we've got a good couple of months before that I hope) but I wanted to get used to it before so plan to use as a single for the summer. Desperate to take it out for a proper spin today with DS but 'tis raining and my raincover hasn't arrived yet Sad

Thanks to Tiggywunkle once again for all of your excellent advice and photos, I think it will do the job just fine with our age gap (newborn and 2.5 yrs) and will give us the longevity that so many other tandems won't.

And, you can have 2 children in it and still use the massive shopping basket...that's got to be a winner Grin

and do you know what, I think I may have come up with a cunning plan to solve the issue of baby-too-big-for-cocoon-but-too-small-for-front-seat conundrum....Watch this space, I am going to need to borrow my friend's baby to see if it works but I'll post details on here when my experimenting is done Smile

poopyjen I love you!!! With two small pieces of Velcro, I now have a parent facing rear seat in my +One with a recline for when my LO falls asleep. Even my nearly 4 year old fits in the back comfortably parent facing!! I will link you to the photos etc in a few days when I get chance to upload them! But I LOVE it and it should resolve my LO crying because he can't see me plus he gets full hood cover in the back. Hurray!

sedgieloo · 23/07/2012 10:38

Ooooh dying to see these too!

EmilieFloge · 23/07/2012 10:50

I'd have loved to try one of these but sadly my youngest at present is going to be nearly 6 when dc3 arrives!

Pascha, I'm not sure if Mothercare does them any more - they did do MB till about a year ago didn't they, I also think our local shop doesn't do MB (am in C-y nearish to you, I think - due in Jan?) so we go in the Baby lady sometimes.

I will keep an eye out for anywhere that has them and let you know if I see anywhere.
I like the idea of the basket being useable, with both children on board.

Pascha · 23/07/2012 21:12

Are you really Emilie? Shock Grin You are quite close! We might have met on the antenatal thread then? We used the Baby Lady for the carseats and she used to stock some MB but not any more.

Anyway we bid on a BJCS on ebay and won it at the weekend so DH is off to collect it tonight. I would still have liked to see a +one in the flesh but it wasn't to be so we went a different direction.

EmilieFloge · 24/07/2012 08:47

Oh, that's lovely, I'm glad you have found something...Baby Jogger are meant to be really really good and sensible pushchairs. I bought a BJCM in a closing down sale last year, not yet pregnant then of course! And sold it on, but while I had it sat here I could see it was a very very good pushchair. Very well made. Funny that we are so nearby, I wonder who else is on our thread an not too far away! Smile

Pascha · 24/07/2012 11:54

There is at least one other in Kent, can't remember her name without looking through though.

I have a BJCM I'm considering selling as it just doesn't get used anymore...

EmilieFloge · 24/07/2012 15:31

Oh don't tempt me Pascha...I have already got about 10 different pushchairs here, mostly from when ds2 was little and I kept them all! Blush in various states of cleanliness and repair...
though a BJCM would be nice...Grin

Pascha · 24/07/2012 17:34

You could sell them all and get a new one...

DS is 3 months, 67 cm long. the day we went out it was in a thunderstorm, had a hospital appointment and dont drive so couldn't avoid it, we had the MB storm cover on but still got drenched, think i was just unlucky that day. DS just cries all the time, he's super hungry, we're trying to put off weaning til 17 weeks but have been told we might have to try before...again unlucky with that one, cos he's so young he cant sleep with his knees bent, im sure my daughter would cos she'd know to. i must have missed the parent facing post, i'll have to check back. I know this buggy is going to be amazing in a few months but its been a nightmare since he was about 4 weeks old, he's very strong too so pushes himself back so his head pushes against back of front seat. My health visitor seems to think he'll be strong enough to sit in the front soon with a head support as long as i take him out regularly. It's crazy cos when i got this on preorder in jan i read reviews that said how amazing it was for all ages, it's only after i had my son i started looking for reviews again and people were saying it has the awkward few months and one even updated it saying it had changed slightly to the prototypes.

Tiggywunkle · 24/07/2012 23:06

I first saw the +One almost 18 months ago and immediately knew it wasn't going to be easy from 4-12 months. It was obvious. The part I didnt know about was the bar behind the front seat to stop the elder child being reclined - thus an issue with smaller age gaps where the eldest may well nap. I haven't got organised enough to put my parent facing photos live but I am thrilled with it and when life calms down a bit I will explain what I have done. I can even get a sat upright parent facing seat (that my 4 year old fits in easily), to then lie almost flat when my LO needs to nap! It would be easy to stuff a coat or something underneath for a higher recline.

lilhills · 24/07/2012 23:33

going to try that out tomorrow. my daughter naps occasionally but i'm just going to get a neck travel support cushion thing for her. Being stuck indoors in this lovely weather is rather depressing.

Does this help?
