iCandy Peach seat no longer clicks into place, please help!

We've been happily using the iCandy Peach for a year now with no problems, but today all of a sudden the seat no longer clicks into place on the base. It used to require a bit of weight to push it in, but then it would 'click' and be fine. Now it just doesn't catch/click anymore no matter how hard you push.

We got it second hand so I don't think it is still covered under the warranty. I'm sure it would be worth paying to get it fixed but if we can fix it ourselves that would be great.

Has anyone experienced anything similar and knows how to fix this?

My apple seat did this, I'm unsure of the peach mechanism but it looks similar, on the apple seat on the bottom of the posts which clicked in were two screws, we undid those and slid off the metal sleeve and wedged something under the clicky poppy out bit as over time it had just been squashed in to much left it over night, put back together and fine after that, wonder if you could do similar?

Thanks!! We took the thing apart as well and wedged a screwdriver between the clicky poppy out bit (thanks for providing technical term =p) and kind of pushed it back out. It's still not back to being properly 'unsquashed', but at least the seat clicks in now!

Great! Glad I could help, if it continues contact icandy you may have to pay a few £ for a new part but I found them more than happy to help for free.
