Having no luck selling or swapping my pram, any ideas on what to do?

I have a massive Leebruss Africa all in one and just don't have the room for the bloody thing any more, I have tried selling it and am having no luck, have even tried swapping it but I keep getting offers of the crappiest looking strollers ever and while I am not going to be too picky, I think there's a limit on what I can accept.

Any ideas on what I can do to get rid?

Where have you tried selling so far?

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 21:45

Gumtree, Preloved and a couple of FB selling pages.

Ebay if you can arrange a courier and box it up?

gemma4d · 28/05/2012 21:47

Ditto DMJE/Daisy
I'd suggest local Facebook selling pages, or a local cheapy paper - but could depend on your area, that's what is good round mine.

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 21:47

I am really awful with Ebay but I will get DP to list it on there, just need to make a pay pal account first. :)

drat, cross posts!

Remember ebay fees, and paypal fees. they stink. And paypal offers security to buyers over sellers - worth bearing in mind you can "be had".

mambonumber4 · 28/05/2012 21:49

youd be better off on gumtree.

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 21:49

I've tried 2 FB selling pages so far, one is just for prams/pushchairs but it seems to be mostly 3 wheelers and and small strollers that sell well on them or people are expecting to pay ridiculously low prices. I doubt I would get any higher that £40/50 on either of them and I just don't think I can go quite as low as that.

Mambo I have tried Gumtree. :(

I think you just have to keep at it, big prams go for peanuts on ebay, I got a beautiful like new bertini for 65 delivered!

mambonumber4 · 28/05/2012 22:10

is it the black and white zebra one?? its beautiful

DaisyMaisyJessicaEmily · 28/05/2012 22:37

Local boards at Tesco etc? Local newspaper?

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 22:40

Yeah it's the black and white one. :) I even put it on MN locals. :( Think it's just a bit bright for most people!

Daisy That's a good idea, I hadn't thought of that, thanks. :)

I love a big pram I do - I want a new pram, I want a pretty pram, I dont want a Jane Powertwin, I however need a Jane powertwin.

Sob.

SchrodingersMew · 29/05/2012 22:05

That's pretty much what happened with me. :( I loved my big pram and the bouncyness of it but I live in a wee flat so instead I have 3, 3 wheelers. Hmm
