We were very kindly given a Pliko Pramette travel system with all the attachments for our newborn who is now 4 weeks old. While the pram is reasonably easy to push and fairly comfy for our son, I have found it to be a little rickety on the cobbles, the brakes seem a little flimsy in some situations and it was tricky getting it on and off public transport. It also doesn't fold easily or compactly in pram mode when the child is facing you.... The question is, am I just being fussy, or should I invest in an alternative and sell this one on favour of something more suitable?? If so which one?
If I was to replace it I would want something that is;
Suitable from birth
Parent facing
Easily able to be taken on public transport
Compact enough to fit in the boot of a small car (Daewoo Matiz/Citroen Saxo)
Wheels able to take on rough, cobbled streets (not necessarily all terrain though, as the cobbles are about as rough as we will normally go)
One of my friends has the quinny zapp xtra, which looked really neat, but will the wheels stand up to the cobbles? Is there another option which might be better?
The question is, am I just being fussy, or should I invest in an alternative and sell this one on favour of something more suitable?? If so which one?
Thanks
